Talkeetna Chamber banquet set for Oct. 28

The Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce 2011 membership banquet will begin with a social time starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar, with dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m.

The program at 7:30 p.m. will include a State of the Chamber report, a presentation about the Alaska Folk School, and the ever popular Old Bag Auction.

Cost of the banquet is $28 per person, which includes dinner and one drink ticket. Payment may be made by check or cash at the door.

The dinner buffet will be catered by Twister Creek Restaurant and the menu includes spring rolls, chicken satay, a choice of meat or vegetable lasagna, sautéed vegetables, garlic bread, house salad and dressings, and apple crisp.
