Sewage system malfunction closes Eielson Visitor Center

The Eielson Visitor Center, located at Mile 66 on the Denali Park Road,
will be closed for an estimated three to four days so that a contractor can fix the
sewage system. The anticipated opening date is Monday, July 18.

During this temporary closure buses with Eielson as their destination will
turn around in the parking lot, and only disembark passengers who want to
hike. Trails in the area will remain open for day and overnight use.

Buses heading to Wonder Lake and Kantishna will not stop at Eielson. A
temporary rest area has been established at the Mile 73 pullout for the
passengers on these buses.
