Power outage followed by quake

Power went out briefly in the Sunshine area at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Friday night, Dec. 2. Approximately an hour later, at about 12:33 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, the area was rocked by an earthquake.
The earthquake was 38 miles west southwest of Talkeetna and 37 miles west northwest of Willow. Magnitude of the quake was not immediately known, but the Alaska Earthquake Information Center reported that it was 2 miles deep.
Two other earthquakes also were reported in the area on Friday, Dec. 2: one at 8:53 p.m. that was 57 miles deep, 37 miles south southwest of Talkeetna and 11 miles west northwest of Willow, and another at 7:56 p.m. that was 2 miles deep and 60 miles east of Willow and 75 miles east southeast of Talkeetna.
