Borough proposes changes to subdivison rules
Changes to rules for subdivisions, flood plain determination and land use permits in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough are being proposed. The Assembly is seeking reform of MSB 17.02, MSB 17.29, and MSB Title 27 based upon comments from citizens.
These ordinances are being reviewed by the Planning Commission and Platting Board over the next 60-plus days. The Planning Commission and Platting Board are seeking comments. Meetings are scheduled for public participation.
The first Planning Commission to consider these ordinances was an informational work session on held on June 20, and the Platting Board has already held one informational work session on June 16 to discuss changes to the subdivision code.
The Planning Commission and the Platting Board will be holding an interactive joint work session to consider both Ordinances 11-072 and 11-073 on Monday, June 27 at 6 p.m. in Assembly Chambers. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion.
